Spend three full and relaxing days in the stunning capitol of Denmark, Copenhagen (Official start of the Tour de France 2022). Stay centrally and enjoy the unique and cozy (hyggelige) atmosphere. Your local guide will take you on a tour of the city to discover all the best of Copenhagen, both on and off the beaten path. There will of course be time for some shopping during the afternoon - Danish design and fashion is know all over the world. Finish your first day with a visit to world famous amusement park, Tivoli Gardens, in the centre of Copenhagen.

After a lovely Scandinavian breakfast, there is ample opportunity to continue discovering Copenhagen at your own pace. Experience up close, City Hall, the Walking Street, Parliament (Christiansborg) the old renaissance stock exchange (Børsen) The Royal Theatre, Nyhavn, Royal Palace with their changing of the guard every day at 12, Gefion fountain, “Kastellet” and the Little Mermaid. The afternoon is yours at your leisure. We can suggest a boat tour of the harbour, which departs from Nyhavn.

Today we will have the royal experience of northern Zealand. We will visit the royal summer palace of Fredensborg Castle in Hilleroed before we continue to Helsingoer. Here we will visit the famous Kronborg Castle - the setting of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, and the resting place of Denmark’s legendary protector, "Holger Danske”, or Holger the Dane. For more than 300 years has he been sleeping in the catacombs of the caste, ready to rise and take up sword should Denmark come under attack. From Kronborg Castle, you can also look across the water to Sweden, only a narrow passage away.
Heading back from Kronborg, we can do a stop at the famous Louisiana - Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek.
Our route back to Copenhagen takes us along the scenic coast of Oresund, and through the famous “Strandvejen”.
